"BIG POT" BOB WINS KICK-OFF CLASSIC
Off to a fast start in Season III of the JBPS, Bob Johnson captured the 1st tournament on the schedule. It appeared to be a walk in the park for "Big Pot" as he waltzed through the field as chip leader for much of the event.
Johnson noted that his only real scare of the tournament came in a hand with 2004 Fall Classic Champion, Steve Lehmeyer. Lehmeyer held two pair, but a huge bluff by "Big Pot" forced Lehmeyer to fold his hand and push a "Big Pot" to Bob.
In the final hand of the event, Adam Ford (Season II Player of the Year) went all-in short stacked with 3-3. "Big Pot" called with two over cards (A-4) and an ace came on the flop solidifying the victory for Johnson.
